A BUSINESS HISTORY BY PAUL WINTER

I have been flying control line for most of my life, with just a couple of misguided forays into free flight and R/C cars in the seventies.  But since then I have concentrated 100% on control line.

In the 1980’s I was an actively involved with the Finchley MAC and helped to organise the Finchley C/L Gala on several occasions, so came into contact with many famous flyers of the day.

In the late 90’s I became more and more frustrated at the difficulties I was experiencing procuring control line bits and pieces, while at the same time slowly watching the hobby slide into obscurity. 

But then something really amazing happened, while I was participating in the Brodak Fly-In in the USA (probably the largest control line event of its type in the world) I came into contact with John Brodak, founder of Brodak Manufacturing Inc (undoubtedly the largest dedicated supplier of C/L accessories in the world), and after explaining the problems I was having with control line in the UK he suddenly said “Why don’t you become my European Dealer”.  And the rest as they say is history. 

Since the creation of PS Aeroproducts I have always taken pride in the fact that if I can’t supply your requirements myself I know somebody who can.  Put me to the test sometime!
